Who We Represent
CTOA is rooted in trucking. We represent small and mid-sized carriers, owner-operators, independent operators and professional drivers across Canada.
We also work closely with brokers, shippers, governments, regulators, law enforcement, training organizations, insurers, technology providers and other industry partners. This keeps trucking at the centre of our mandate while bringing the wider freight ecosystem into practical discussions about safety, policy and Canada’s supply chain.

Safety & Training
CTOA supports strong safety standards, improved training, and fair, consistent enforcement, with a focus on addressing repeat and high-risk offenders while protecting responsible operators.

CTOA supports proper tax and regulatory compliance, supported by clear, consistent guidance from CRA, ESDC, and Transport Canada. We advocate for fair, uniform enforcement across industries, not targeted or inconsistent application of the rules.
